Dog-Friendly Events in Toronto

Toronto loves their dogs! With Summer coming to an end, dog-friendly patios and outdoor places are closing. With colder days coming, there will be other ways to hang out with your pups in the city. October is the perfect month for some outdoor and indoor activities with your dogs. Toronto has a couple of dog-friendly events this month, so mark your calendars and check out some fantastic events. Here are six dog-friendly events in Toronto this month. 

Transforming Lives Through Rescue – October 1st

Get your tickets for this free event and bring your pup for great company! Hosted by When Hounds Fly and coordinated with Don’t You Want Me, Toronto Dog Moms and other pet professionals, this panel of pet professionals will surely educate and promote the importance and value of amazing dog rescues. If you are interested in participating and discussing dog welfare and rescue topics, you may enjoy attending the panel discussion with other passionate dog lovers. In addition to the expert advice and opinions, you will be able to enter a silent auction with your chance to win some fun prizes.

Doggos on Deck: Private Sailing Experience – October 3rd

You may want to book an Outer Harbour Marina boat for the social pup and parent for some Instagram-worthy pictures of the Toronto Skyline with your pup. This private tour will include a captain and crew and all the things to make your dog feel like a celebrity. This is the last week to book your tickets, so be sure to claim your spots before the season ends this year. 

Dogtober Daze – October 8th

This event is a little out of the ordinary, but if you’re looking for great entertainment and love wrestling, then Dogtober Daze may be the event for you. Rebelution Women’s Wrestling and Chaos4K9 are teaming up to support the Southern Connection Dog Rescue. This event is located just outside Toronto in Mississauga, and all proceeds support a great cause. Be sure to get your tickets today!

Puppy Picasso Paint Party – October 8th

For creative dog owners, painting your best furry friend may be your activity this month. Come out to the Puppy Picasso Paint Party and enjoy painting a pre-sketched drawing of your beloved dog. Come out with your pup, enjoy a glass of wine as you paint, and make great memories together. Be sure to book your place in advance, as limited spots are available. 

Tails & Treats – October 22nd

In the spirit of Halloween, Oakville has scheduled a Tails & Treat event in its downtown, Towne Square. There are multiple ways to participate in the fun. One way to enjoy the event is to dress your dog up and visit local shops to pick up some tasty doggie treats. You can also enter your dog’s costume in a contest and enjoy various Halloween-themed fun. All money raised goes to the Oakville Humane Society, so come out and have fun!

Howl-o-ween Unleashed – October 30th

Another family fun Halloween event is occurring in North York this month. Enjoy dressing your babies and fur babies in some costumes, and come out to enjoy a dog-friendly costume contest and other fun dog-friendly and family activities. Come out and make some great memories to last a lifetime!
